Mr Sushmith Gowda is an Army Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon based at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. His interests are primary hip and knee replacements.

Mr Gowda gained his undergraduate qualifications from Cardiff University and undertook his Orthopaedic training in the Wessex Deanery. His fellowship training in primary and revision hip replacements as the Ling Hip Fellow was at the world-renowned Exeter Hip Unit. He was awarded the BOA Travelling fellowship award to visit Brigham Womens’ and General Hospital, Boston to learn more about robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements.

Mr Gowda strives for excellence as a consultant with a busy trauma and arthroplasty practice at Portsmouth NHS Trust. He is an active member of his professional societies - BOA, BHS and OTS.
